Littlun's saxo still won't start and were running out of ideas so any help would be appreciated :y:

It's a mk1 vtr and it ran perfect, we drove it into the shed removed the front seats, unplugged the airbag wiring and bolted in a bucket seat. Then the car wouldn't start.

Head unit has been removed (not sure if this would change anything)
Car isn't immobilised
Fuel pump won't prime (primes if hard wired but still don't start)
New fuel pump relay
New crank sensor
New coil pack

Had a poke round with a multimeter and found that when cranking only 0.2 volts are going to the coil pack.

Any ideas??

not sure if it would help but i would check the battery.

Tried it :wall:

Swapped it with the battery from my running vtr.

Thanks for the input though as all suggestions are welcome in the hope of fixing it :y:

if you have another car to borrow bits off try swapping coil pack ect

Yea swapped loads of bits, the only thing we can't swap is ecu as one is 3 pin and the other is single pin

Have u treid pressing the red button under the bonnet next to the small fuse box

£10er on you've squashed the fuel pipe under the bucket seat :P.

It runs down the passenger side under the carpet.. :y:

Yep even swapped it for one from a running car

You owe me a tenner :drink:
We removed the carpet before fitting the seat as the car is to be used as a production saloon at our local hillclimb :y:

Cant you re-trace you steps from when you started removing seats etc etc, you must have disturbed something, seems too much of a coincidence.

Also get a diagnostics on it, there will be a fault code even though it doesnt run if something is wrong, otherwise you could throw money at it all day long mate :y:

Re traced everything mate, even put air bag wiring back in :wall:

Had it on two different diagnostics and one came back clear and one said "unknown error"

It has to be something really simple but we just can't find it

Yep every single on mate

Yea cranks over fine but there is only 0.2 volts going to the coil pack when cranking

Check the juice in the battery?

Coiled pack could be goosed, change that take the spark plugs out have a look at them
Make sure ecu is seated in the loom
Could be the transponder in your key

Swapped batteries with my running vtr
Swapped coil pack

Ecu seated in the loom?? Not sure what you mean

Transponder should be fine as the immobiliser light isn't flashing

Cheers everyone for all the suggestions, it's bound to be something simple :y:

Remove your coil pack and connect 4 spark plugs into the end of each coil, rest the end of the sparkplugs on the metal part of the head (earth) and check that the plugs are sparking, make sure it looks like a strong spark. Either that or use spark testers if you have any.

Im not sure on how much voltage should go through the coil pack plug, because a coils job is to turn a small voltage into a much larger one :y:

With the battery disconnected remove the plug/plugs from the ECU and check the connections, make sure they are not corroded or loose, the pins on the ecu should be clean and the holes in the terminals on the plug should be tight and clean :y:

If that all looks ok just check/follow the wiring back from the coilpack and check none of them are chaffed/broken or breaking up. Its free and worth a glance.

Cheers mate we've done all the above other than following the loom so we will follow the loom and I will report back :y:
