Any one know where to get the 2.5ltr tins of plastic dip from. I got a customer wanting to paint his track car in it against my advice but cant find anywhere in the uk that stock it. Looking for the matte red.

Oh really? when everyone was going on about the peel off Plastidip on 106 owners, everyone kept linking that site expecting it to be the peel stuff.
Think a few even ordered some

In her words
"None of our products should be applied with the intention of removal."
So i take it that they cannot be peeled off? or they do not come off easily.

Comes off Farley easy make sure your get a few coats and it will peel off easier but still be durable and you'll only have to mask up windows.

To my knowledge it's exactly the same stuff. Not sure why they would say that but I guess they don't like the new use for their products?

This is all i can think. I have read that on some factory paints it can cause blooming such as Vauxhall and Honda.

Probably because if they said yeh it can be peeled off fine and then someone goes by their advice and it strips some paint off then they can hold them liable.

I've just done my interior bits and also a set of merc wheels in this, it does peel off fairly easy but not too easy that it won't last, think she just said it shouldn't be applied with intention of removal as its not what the product was designed for, as far as I know it's used to make tool handles etc but onced thinned its removable and sprayable.
Iv used the first link too to paint the WHOLE of my classic mini.
easily peels off if you want to change the colour etc.

What would I need to spray my alloys with this?
Same prep as paint or just clean the wheels and spray on? Then peel off what ever goes on the tyre?
Seems an idiot proof sort of way to get my alloys looking better with out the effort of sanding them down.

Basically give your alloys a good scrub so there's no dirt or any products on them and it will stick nicely..
Once the alloys are clean, go over them with some brake cleaner.
This will remove any greasyness or shit which will stop it sticking!

How many cans will I need? And where's best to buy from? And one last question, can you pressure wash it or put wheel cleaners on it?
