I'm looking at getting a set of VTS Wheels on my Saxo, reason being you can't get the tyres I'm after on 14'' (Proxe T1Rs, Paradas, Rainsport2s etc)

What tyres do people run on 14'' for fast road/occasional track/daily use, Got a mix of Cooper and Proxes CF1 on the front and Pilots on the back (Fitted from factory, 12 years ago :panic:) but understeer is far too common going from T1Rs on my old car which stuck to the road really well

The idea was to get the VTS Wheels for Summer and keep the VTR wheels for winter, so could get summer tyres for the VTS wheels if i got a set..

Thanks

If you do track days or need winter wheels then its good to pick up a cheap set.

T1Rs shouldn't be in the same sentence as a Rainsport 2. Coopers ain't they good either in the wet. Unless you get 300 dry days a year then you have nothing to worry about.

I've been tempted by VTS alloys just for the size but its extra weight and no more cooling advantages over the VTR alloys. I'd go for 15 but a more open design for track. VTR as road wheels are great as they're cheap as cheats in terms of tyres.
