In the process of replacing my offside driveshaft. Ive took the hub bolt off and un-done the lower arm bolt. How do I get the lower arm down to move the hub to the side?
Thanks
Knocking the ball joint out of the strut, use a bar to lever it out

if the pinch bolt is out, push down on the arm using using a pry bar or something similar. If its been in there ages it'll be a bit stuck so you may need a ball joint splitter

Nice one mate thought that but didn't want to break anything lol. When putting it back I have to lever it down to put it back in yeh?

Another thing is I haven't got a 8mm drain key. I can drain it once I pull the shaft out right?. Then fill through the breather above with new oil?.

Yes more leverage, then do the same to refit and jiggle it back in. Really easy to do this on a saxo anyway.
You can drain it that way yes but it wont all drain out as shafts are higher than the lower drain plug. Better off popping to halfords to get an 8mm square key tbh as you wont know the level in it to fill it back up to
