When i got 6.5 id say my method and track quality improved instantaneously. It really is a massive step up.... really really good software.

Nice stuff there mate.... you a jump up fan then i see haha.

7 is great for those who have hardware.... but if you're mainly using the software and a midi KB. Then, id get 6 at a cheap price... then you get free upgrade to 6.5.

yeah rack extensions, god what i would do to have a moog fatty, compressors eqs all outboard.
Nice real raw voltage bass.
we dont have pockets that deep though :(

Definatly worth upgrading me thinks now. I like reason, despite how much shit it gets for sounding weak. Wire it up how you want, it can sound amazing if you get it right.

Yeah.... Mate I've been using Reason for like 8 years and i openly admit its only since using 5 and 6.5 that I've really made tracks that are powerful enough to make an impression on people.
My methods have changed for the better.

I think with Reason you either love it or hate it.
A lot of people moan about the sound quality but as you rightly say, its just a case of not knowing how to use it properly or perhaps get the best out of it.
