Recently fitted GTI seats and I didn't sort out the airbag thing. Just wondering if it's an MOT failure or not?

I dont know how correct this is but my MOT tester said it is just an advisory as my parents car had the airbag light on when it went for its test

It is a failure, as far as I know it has to come on with ignition and then go back off, so you can't sort it by just taking the bulb out, that's the rules here in Ireland anyway.

Get the pre tensioners wired in to be safe

It's an advisory AFAIK but don't take that as gospel lol. My airbag light was on a while ago now but just it was only the pre tensioners (as above) that had failed' I used a chocolate box connector in case myself (or any subsequent owners) wanted to get the seats out and it was job done :y:

After the amount of threads on the new MOT laws I thought people would know this.

Its a failure.
