Older style 3dr 2litre mate,the older ones are meant to be more reliable.:y:

Not bad cars tbh worked on a few. The rear lights are a bastard to remove. service items are cheap and the normal toyota quality.

My dad mate who he shoots with had one, seemed to be pretty reliable, I just think the older style ones are ugly as fuck though for some reason !

Naa not a bad car mate, I wouldn't say they are ugly, there not that bad. But some times reliability matters more than looks! If it's a daily. Don't stress on looks, u just want something cheap n very reliable

My granddads had one for years.. Only ever had to change serviceable parts. But obviously never seen the red part of revs lol. :y:

They are very reliable and if its the 2lt model your after the engine is bomb proof. I have seen over 250k on the clock and still on the original engine. But you do have to service then to the book or you will get in trouble. Only thing is they really are getting a bit old now. So look out of abused ones as real new Toyota parts are not cheap ( well relatively ) though Toyota tends to hold good stock. The shell is solid as long as its not damaged. So look for service history and for no bodged repairs.

My mate had one for a bit, didnt have any problems with it apart from getting about 15mpg or something daft like that
