Went to get my puncture fixed today.....Seems it wasn't such an easy fix after all (ok maybe it was but not a cheap one)

There is about 5cm which isn't down to the metal casing, in some places there is no metal casing left, not sure how it hasn't exploded on me on the motorway!

Could be a problem with your suspension or something

Are you on some serious camber or something that tyre looks to have loads of life left in it.

It obviously hasnt pierced the inner membrane, so would of stayed intact.

Is it catching the strut or something?

Doesn't appear to be catching anything, I wouldn't say I'm running silly camber. Don't think it help that pretty much all my driving is motorway mileage but didn't think it would be so bad!

Rears are fine though, no abnormal wear like the fronts

Exactly the same happened to my mate - it was rubbing on the strut. But it was obvious as it had worn both of them pretty badly.
