I have just recently brought a vts and i would like to find out as much about the car as possible.

After getting the car back to the garage i soon found a fair few problems on this car after being told the biggest problem was the fuel guage not working.
Starting on the worse being the axle being knackered
N/S/F bottom ball joint not well
Strut top bearing clicking
Inner driveshaft boot spilt.
And a few more minor issuses.
And with all the interior being stripped out.

Just shows that nothing is ever what people say it is :(

Im gunna start working throught each problem and get this car to being as near perfect as i can.

Im sort of after trying to find some information about the car, was told a previous owner was part of the forum.

Reg of the car is MK51HHD. has been under private plates in the past.

The owner must have put time and effort into the car as the engine is producing 158bhp. And the parts on the car are expensive parts.

Would be very interested to find out anything about this car, would like to know exactly wats been done the engine.

Cheers edd

Awaits the 'pm prickle' comments.

Have you tried typing the reg in to google and see if anything comes up?

Try PM'ing "Prickle" as I believe he owned it at some point. However, not the previous owner

Ok thanks, i hav sent him a message, hopefully he knows abit of information about it. The guy i brought it from didnt know much about the car, didnt overly know what he was talking about.

The car isnt in the best of conditions, i was told it used to be at all the meets and was very well presented. Was this true?

Is it a silver one? Someone I know had it, he smashed it up pretty bad, rolled into a ditch.

It is silver. it would say its unlikely that its been rolled.
I have had it on a ramp at work and its very straight underneath and all bodywork is straight.
Also HPI report is clean, no history of being crashed.
Also have a fairly large history with the car, just no details of engine mods.

He didn't declare it to the insurance so it wasn't written off. Was repaired properly, everything was replaced, have to have a very good eye to see where it was repaired

how long ago was this?
and had the engine been played with?

Was a little while back, good couple years or so I think. As far as the engine goes, i think it was fairly standard when he had it

Come on guys, the lads asked a serious question tbh, I've done the same when being in the situation myself.

Best chance you've got it searching the reg on google.

I find it amazing about the sellers on here too, my old car came up for sale on here many months back, I spoke to the owner of it now and informed him of the chassis being bent and the accidents it had, rear beam being fucked in 09 and still the same now, nothing was posted about it or said on the for sale thread about it. Where is the honesty gone from this forum?!

Just no need is there really, i went over the car again tonight and is straight as can be.
But going through all the history i have found out a bit more, current axle was changed last year and was already second hand. so explains why it is fucked.

Only joined to find out a bit of information about the car and get people saying it been crashed. really not needed:(
