New products and BIG clean #2

[Luke]

Today, i went to Halfords to buy some cleaning gear. Within 5 minutes, i had bought £60 worth of gear.

I got :-

Meguiars - Nxt Generation Bag which consists of:

- Tech Wax
- Glass Cleaner
- Application Pad
- Wash Mitt
- Car Wash

I then bought

Mequiars Quik Clay
Dashboard Wipes
Tyre Spray
Some more application pads

I used the clay bar and the paintwork feels VERY smooth. Girlfriend wonder why on earth i spent so much, but i want to look after my car. BTW i'm not part of the cleaning whore team

Here what i did,

- Rinsed the car down with hosepipe
- Washed in Mequiars Car Wash
- Chamois off
- Quik Clay and then wipe off
- Tech Wax
- Meguiars Trim Detailer
- Then cleaned all windows, inside and out
- Cleaned wheels with AutoGylm Clean Wheels
- Hoovered all car
- Wiped down all dashboard

Took some pictures, so here is the results. Next time i plan on spending a few more hours, but i'm pretty impressed with the results.

looks very nice, buy some Meguirs High Gloss polish though and do that before you wax it then it'll be perfect :)

Scott - I used the matt finish ones from halfords, can't remember name. It's a green tub.

Matt - My 1 years NCB came through on Wednesday, so now i have a reduction i will starting buy some 'mods' at Trax. It's been a long time coming, i have a lot of plans for it.

Like i said, i'm not part of that cleaning team but I feel like if i want my car to look good, i need to spend.

It's worth it though, you appreciate your car more when clean.

Yeah its definately worth it, its amazing what a bit of poorboys shampoo did compared to my old stuff. I need another drying towel though, maybe im doing it wrong but i cant do the whole car with it.

Didn't use Fairy Liquid this time, used the car wash stuff i bought. Pretty good actually.

Cleaned mine yesterday in and out treated her lol, might put the picture on but its stupid my car so maybe not.

Those bags are pretty good, i got all my stuff in there now. The clay bar is a must, i didn't see the big deal but it leaves your bodywork feeling soooo smooth.

Engine is staying pretty much standard until i have a couple more NCB under my belt.

I was tempted with smoked lights, but i would only put them on front. The rear ones didn't look right imo. I think i'm going to a get a full exhaust system.

Might aswell tell you the plans i have been thinking about,

- Lowered 40mm all round on full kit
- Light smoke tints all round
- Magnex system
- Debadged boot
- 16" Alloys, maybe Ultra's or i MAY go for VTS wheels in gunmetal

Thats what i have thought about for now.
