I don't see how 300quid on braes ould be overkill when people blow tw and a half grand on cams and boddies

i dont mean the price is overkill, i mean the brakes are overkill.

you dont need brakes that big on the average saxo.

unless you have big power gti6/gti180 brakes are more than enough,if they can lock your wheels up at 40mph+ they must have plenty stopping power and they wont fade if you use decent pads.

Locking up isn't good, that implies the brakes are grabbing, I don't think my hi specs have ever locked up, I've never kicked the ABS in either

i watched a program before and the look two cars, on was a low model car and the other was the same model with the higher model engine and they then put big brakes on the lower model car and raced them. the lower model was neck and neck with the faster model as it could brake alot later into corners without fade

dampcave - what i mean is you can lock the wheels up if you brake hard enough so imo they are powerful enough, my gti180s are very sensitive aswell.
dunno adout ABS coming in as mine is fucked and its not going on my to do list :P

they worked well enough at kames aswell dont you think? i had smoking tyres every corner :P

these are the ones on my mates rallye, he has to use 16's i think, well he does anyway, but the car needs em on track really, my mats were running gti6 brakes with ebs pads and cooking em at fcs. the brensports gave no problems
