ABS questions

So recently I replaced my discs and pads in my vtr and the pads that were in the callipers already had what looked like a sensor coming out of it that was just tied around the brake hose plugging into no where. I understand ABS was an option and I dont think mine has it, just wondering if its possible to install ABS for safety reasons.

It is possible but is a massive ball ache and really not worth it as standard Saxo brakes are terrible anyway.

The wire is for a brake wear sensor - not fitted to saxo brakes!

that may be the case for yours, but the majority of cars which are looked after brake just fine.
