Yes for a road tyre all round they are quite good. I was particularly impressed in the wet.

Shocked me in the wet too.

Pains me to say this.. but beats the toyo T1R in every aspect.

as mentioned, pretty decent wet tyre, but drive them hard in weather like today and they'll soon bugger off, definitely not a tyre to use on track.

Do these have decent sidewalls or when I throw the 5 into a bend will I feel like i'm wallowing round driving a plate of jelly?

Awesome road tyres tbh. Perform well in every way. Although my current favourite is Hankook V12 Evo's, due to Rainsports being a ridiculous price in the size i need i tried these!

Soft i'm afraid.

Picked them up by the sidewall when they were new, and it was very flexible.

Don't feel 'wallowy' anyway. :y:

It's a pity Uni royal won't do us a multi buy on them.
I'm after picking up four of them. Cheapest place i've found them atm is Camskill. :(

Ring around your local garages and ask for 4 fitted. Usually get a good price if you pit them against each other. I usually pay 55 a tyre fitted.

Chuckle, I did, I asked everyone. Best I could find was 63 a corner, inc fitting balancing, tracking... why the fuck it'd need tracking i'm not sure ( i smell they could mysteriously find a problem that needs lots of money to fix it)

If Cam skill did cheaper postage i'd be buying them right now... 23 quid to courier some rubber to my door? Gtfo.

Cheapest ebay and google shopping do uniroyals for is about £54.30 with free shipping. Cam skill just come slightly under with shipping. (turns out I'd requested they be shipped the the highlands... Durrr)
I've just sent forward an email to these guys http://www.tyre-universe.co.uk/normal-tyres.html?Reifentyp=325
To see what they can do for me or us... so hopefully they'll get back to me soon.

Good to see some people have come to realise they are good tyres and make T1Rs alot worse in comparison!

I swear by Rainsport 2s for that budget. I currently have Toyo R1rs and i would love to get them on a new set of potential 17" wheels but cant get them in a profile i need. I will more than likely get the rainsport 2s or possible some Potenzas.

I have to admit I was a huge T1R fan until it rained.

yeah but what fitment?
most people run 195-45-15...
Edit: Just seen on camskill it's for a 195-50 fitment.

Edit edit : That tyre company I emailed, got back to me, I may be in the process of making a group buy, depending on what they say when they get back to me.

Yes mate I bought the 50 15s. Slightly more sidewall but im not fussed at that price for 4 rs2s

I ran them on the Saxo on a 45 profile, one of the best tyres out there in my opinion (for road use anyway) I prefer them over F1's,Proxies,S-drives.

i hear a lot of good and bads(more bad) about t1rs but out of curiosity, are the reviews on the non-reinforced or reinforced sizes? wouldnt the higher load rating indicate a stiffer sidewall which should make the lower profiles perform better for cornering??
