I don't have a duel action polisher (and i assume the cheap buffers you can get are crap?). So, how much are we talking to get a saxo de swirled? Just after an idea on pricing.

For someone to do it for you, or for you to buy the kit and do it yourself?

erm both? If I did it myself, is it fairly idiot proof? It's a black car so if i bugger it up it'll show!

its not idiot proof, but its not really hard.
Would probably pay around £100 for a detailer to go over it i would have thought.

You cant really bugger it up unless you're a full blown retard.

can't you burn the lacquer or something if you hold it on too long?

Are you retarded enough to "hold it on too long?" ;)

I spent 10hrs doing my car and didnt once do a fuck up and i went head first on the job. Came out with awesome finish.

You can burn through the lacquer on edges if you're not careful. Edges being like the bumpers etc. Would take a bit more to burn through on the doors or bonnet though

I've sat on the same spot for a few minutes on a test panel to see what happens and my pad died before it got close to burning the paint.

With a D/A it's idiot proof

Yay to idiot proof! So, cheapest place to get one of these? It'll get used annually, so cheapest going. I assume you can't hire them?

try cleanyourcar.co.uk or similar. There's several threads about DA machines if you run a search - with some good/bad reviews :)

I got my DAS6 from Cleanyourcar.co.uk but I do regret not getting the DAS6-Pro for the 5 metre length cable so that's worth considering.

Also it would probably be best to buy one of the deals including various pads/polishes to save a bit of money.
