Has anyone attended a 'ring track day? Wondering if its worth it.

And, fuck when did the regular days become so expensive!

Done plenty of ring laps, but never done a Dedicated track day on the ring.

I guess it would be good , but I think they cost near £500 ish, average number of laps on a ring track day is 12 ish from what I read.

So not sure what a lap costs this year.

Big bonus of the track day is no insurance problems.

Read something recently saying it was 750 for 2 days or something. Get the choice of swift & a BRZ. Obviously not standard. Means you can drive in your own motor, use theirs to thrash around in, drive home in your car.

A mate is going on one in August at £559 which I may tag along on, dependant on work.

Main advantages are:

Not much traffic
No bikes
No retards
No insurance issues
The full circuit, no coming off at the gantry, enjoy the full Döttinger Höhe

Personally, I'd suggest it's worth it if you've got a car that'll handle a full days kicking around there and still make it home.

Don't forget to include the other costs though, crossing, accommodation, fuel there and back and a couple of tanks on track!

Certainly not a cheap day, the insurance is the biggest thing for me. As well as being quieter and less crazy bastards.

Hopefully.

Good call on the car, will probably get it looked over before. Lol

Elise will be fine. It's amazing how tough they are around there, mainly because there's no weight to them

Generally between £500 and £1000 from 1 day to 2days.

Got to make sure the car is 100% otherwise it could be a big waste of money.

Unfortunately do to the recent rule changes ill only be able to do a trackday there but should be good.

Skylimit has a trackday in September (13:00 - 17:00) which costs €280. (Around 240pounds?) which isn't to steep. Skylimit trackdays are not that busy neither.
