Hi i have an old saxo centre pipe exhaust rusting away but the cat is installed to the centre and heard off someone not to just throw it away but to take it to a place that buys the converter off you as the Catalyistic has value to it even if its only £10-30 better than no £10-30. Is their such a place to take them too for cash or should i just chuck it?

Thanks

Get the 30 quid for it mate. If you chuck it or scrap it then if some stinge bag see's it they'll cash in on it themselves.

Depends on what it's worth and if its genuine, can be worth anything from £1

Pattern parts don't contain so much of the precious metals so arnt worth as much.

Genuine ones are worth good money

hmmm is their a way of finding out if its genuine or not? this was from when i got the car, it had only done 44000 miles back then so couldnt imagine it had been replaced before i owned it?

Thanks

Pattern cats are worthless. Especially saxo one's, they're worth about £2

Get 1 of those telescopic magnets and if it dosn't stick to the mesh stuff (platinum) inside the cat then its a good 1.

If its a shit pattern part, it will stick.
