hello all.
recently sold a set of what i beliveed to be 306 gti calipers which i got from a decent lad who i know well enough
sold the items on ebay and on the day of recieving im getting a complaint claiming there from a 406 2.2 v6
im wondering if this is genuine really, how would he be able to tell so quickly is there a way? or could it be possibly the fact he hasnt took it account that slight grinding is required
any help appreciated.
cheers peeps

can't have been from a 2.2 v6! that does not exist!
however the 406 does use calipers that look very similar to 306 gti6 items, but they use a wider disc and a different radius carrier, so they wont fit anything but a 405 or 406.
there is a slight visual difference that would confirm that they are 406 items, do you have a picture?

edit, the wonders of google image.
they have a knobble by the brake hose, therefore are 406 calipers.
