These are the people we are funding. The same people that flew planes into the Twin Towers. The same people we've been fighting in Afghanistan.

That doesn't mean it's not true, if that's what you're saying? Just means they didn't want us to know.
And people still believe that the US Government weren't given a heads up about 9/11. Once you look at the bigger picture its quite obvious they are playing a giant game of Risk on a global level.

What was it like? I'm guessing it was far from a 3rd world shithole like the mainstream western media portrays.

The yanks didn't give the Taliban weapons, they gave them to the Afghan fighters. The Taliban sprang up after, what they didn't do is support the country when the Soviets left hence the Taliban got a foot hold. That's why billions have been poured in now to try and stabilise.
Still shit as I've lost comrades in the war.

It's Al Qaeda, Bin Laden's crew. They've been on the CIA payroll for 20 years.

The Taliban are the freedom fighters of Afghanistan, they originate from Pakistan and were part of the Mujahideen who fought the Soviet Union

Correct.
Alot of people don't know the difference between Al Qaeda and the Taliban, they do share links and recruit from one another but are two different organisations. One freedom fighters/political movement of Afghanistan, the other international terrorists.

i quite like it. People think the capital city damascus is a run down shithole like baghdad but its completely different. Its not as new as cities in the gulf but its to be expected. Very busy and congested 24/7. Gets a bit quiet mid day because its so hot out. Damascus has a huge mountain through it which has an awesome high up view of the city lights at night.
