Hey people
I have a clunking sound somewhere in the front left, I don't think it's the CV joint, I know what that usually sounds like and this is different.
Basically when you straighten the wheels up after any notable bend, be it a round-a-bout or whatever, travelling at anything like 30mph or more, there is a clunk from somewhere in the front left side.
It isn't there WHILE turning just when the steering wheel comes back to centre after turning. Its both audible and can be felt. Also doesn't seem to matter what direction you had been turning.
No other symptoms, no grinding, squealing or vibrating just this clunk.
I was advised it might be track rod end by a mechanic mate but this was a guess over a text message conversation, he's not to reliable at actually coming to lend a hand!
Just wanna get opinions before I start taking things apart.
