With all the rear speaker, 6x9 and power cap talk on here lately I thought its time to show those of you who have not seen my old Saxo install some pics of it. The car is now RIP and the system long can i can happly say that there was no rear speakers and no power caps any where near my install.

Thanks for the comments folks
The cars dead has been for well over 2 years now. It was scrapped so hopefully its been recycled so it could be a bean can in your local supermarket right now!
I did not do the actual install a mate of mine called Gav Strong made it while he was unemployed. It took hime well over 100 hours to make the boot build. The install was shown to Turners in Sunderland and they gave Gav a job on the back of it. I planned the system and wired it all up. The leather trimming of the install was done by L4Leather.
The install was never tested DB wise but when I had less equipment it made 133.8 db using the old Audiocontrol mics. I did not car how loud it was it was all about sound quailty. I never played it at anywhere near full volume anyway. People who go round blearing out systems are only adverting them to be stolen.
In total the system cost me about £4500. It would have been a lot more but I used some secondhand bits and Gav did the install for about 1/4 of what a shop would have charged.
The system
Pioneer P77MP (not in the pics what was a P8400)
Pioneer CD1210 Changer
DLS UR36 component speakers
Genesis Four Channel Amp (powering mids and tweeters)
Genesis Dual Mono Amp (Powering mid bass)
Diamond Audio M5 10" 4ohm subs
Gensis Miniblock amp (powering subs)
Audiocontrol 4xs (Active crossover)
Audiocontol DQT (31 band digital EQ)
The system was sold as parts about 2 years ago. I made a good chuck of the money back from it.
As for the tweeters in the footwells. As I was running a fully active system I had cotal control of the crossover points for all the speaker and had the benefit of a digital EQ. The tweeters sounded good down there anyway and with tweeking of the crossover points and the EQ I got the to sound superb. I can not remember for the life of me what the crossover modules I used.
As for driving now. I have a P reg Seat Toledo TDi. I aint in to cars no more. I also have a Suzuki Sv650s bike loads more fun then a car. The thing I do miss though is track days in the car. I had some good times in that car. But I realised that the property ladder was getting to the point where it was nearly out of my reach. I had thrown away far too much money on cars. So I jumped on it and have been in to property since. Theres loads more fun it it then cars and it makes you money not costs you it!

Simple thing with a bike is it will only go as fast as your right wrist lets it. All you have to do on a bike is be sensible.

well done for going on the property ladder. u obviously planned it well.. house prices atm are stupid and for most young ppl to get on the prop ladder is going to b damn near impossible. well done lad. good commitment

what spoiler is that?

106 GTi spoiler modded to fit.
Getting on the property ladder is very hard now for most young people thats why I keep telling people to not blow money on cars and save up some har cash towards a house. Not buying earlier on in life has cost me about £100k! due to a massive house price rise! Thats a hell of a lot of going to work for sod all! Saying that though I would rather people not buy so that thay have to rent so I make money renting them my flat!

well people can dream. i doubt he'll get anywhere near it though cos i doubt that car appeals to many peoples tastes. its quite in-your-face
whats up with that paint job? the orange isnt too bad but then he's wrecked it with the black bit at the bottom, and them headlights really ruin the shape at the front. they dont look right.
