Duno if this is in the rite section or not.

I have a Canon 300D camera, had it for a while now. But the pictures i take seem to be shit. Too much white, Too dark, etc etc. I duno if its just me being shit at takin pictures, lol. N was hoping to have it sorted if anyone could help for trax.

I think i may have fiddled with some settings ages ago but i cant remember. :sad:

Anyone able to help?

Post some pics so I can have a look at them and I'll try to work out what you have done by looking at the EXIF details...

The wheel chages your settings. I suggest using the Green Box to start with or "P". The one that looks like a mountain is for landscapes, the one that looks like a pic of a woman is for portraits, the pic of a person with the star is for night shots. The flower is for close ups and the running man is the sport setting. Use these until you read the manual

When you look through the viewfinder you will see a scale. If the marker is at the right end of the scale you will over expose the shots. The left end means underexposed.

If the aperture or shutter speed blinks, change it using the roller near the shutter release and the AV +/- button on the back of the camera
