Ok Rang a few more up and got:

no better than the price but 1 company said: "sorry, we dont accecpt the bonus accelrator as a VALID insurance policy"

(i havnt had a claim)

so i was cheeky to say when he asked: "Any claims in the last 5 years, i said yes, but i dont think you will accpet this claim, because it was during the 6 month bonus accelerator."

he said: "but sir, any claims MUST be reported when taking out insurance"

me: "but that policy is INVALID so surly it doesnt count"

him: "beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep" (hung up) :(

seems insurance companies truely are ROGUE TRADERS

thats why ive always stayed away from the bonus accellerator policies.

they dont make any sense anyway. how can they say that you have a years driving experience after 10 months! - thats not a year!!!

just keep looking round mate you might find something a little cheaper.

When i took out my first insurance on my own i went with Zenith, found them on confused.com. they took the two years that i had been driving under my mums insurance as two years no claims for me. i was 20 at the time and was paying £400.00 fully comp on a 1.1. after a year with them i tried Tesco and they were really cheap aswell. give both of those a try, it may be worth it!

There are loads of specialist companies out there, but because of your situation you are still likely to get stung! Try Brentacre insurance and tell them you've been recommended by one of their current customers. Their number is 01792 650 933. Small broker in Wales but been spot on with me and my highly modified cars for 3 years
