Sunroof - yes or no?

I have been looking I to buying an OMP rollcage but it says you cannot fit one if you have a sunroof.

I wanted to know if anyone knows the reason for this ? Can it still be fitted with sunroof or can I just remove it and weld a metal patch in place ?

think it is that the bar that goes across at the top of the windscreen hits the winding mechanism.

dont see any reason a flip open one shouldnt though

That helps as it would make sense looking at the roll cage.

I think the sunroof itself can be there just the mechanism underneath is in the way. Tbh if you were going to try and weld a plate in and make a decent job i'd just replace the whole thing for a non sunroof skin.
