When I picked up my VTR a few months ago I noticed that the door strips were a weird colour at the top. Has anyone seen them do this before and any ideas on how to fix it? 17431
You can see at the far right above the VTR badge what I mean.

Look like its worn down somehow. Either replace it, not sure how easy it is to take them of or if you can, or paint.

I know it's strange, I've never seen plastics do that before. Another thing on my "to buy" list!

Can they not be removed from the car?
Why not just spray them? rub them down or scotch them, mask off the whole area to avoid over spray apply plastic primer then, rub down gently with wet an dry (240 grit) i THINK, then respray black

Would`ve said that 240 grit maybe a little harsh for plastics(maybe wrong)

I would use 1000 grit wet&dry after the primer but it depends on what type of finish you want

To do what?
Smoothest you should go with primer is 800 anything more than that and you wont get proper adhesion when it comes to your top coat.
