Temporary insurance for 18 year old?

Just wondering if anyone knows of any insurance companies mad enough to give temporary car insurance to under 21s? I have tried temp cover but they won't insure me on my Saxo VTR as I'm only 18! I am going to uni soon and I've spent loads of time and money doing up my Saxo and it'd be such a shame me having to sell it having never driven it on the road!
Any help or ideas are appreciated!

I'm guessing it's going to be pretty expensive though..

Although.. "licence held for a minimum of 6 months", depends on you then?

Yeah, my birthday is January and I passed by start of March 2012 so had my license long enough! I was quote £70 for a week on my mums 2008 1.3 Ka so going by that as a reference I'm guessing I'm looking at £100-£120ish for a week??

Ah so it does, sneakyyyy! Sorry mate I just assumed it would actually be with the AA.

It does say they do insure under 21's though. All I can think of is that they don't want to insure you on a VTR?

Yeah its cos it's a VTR I think, they're just too fast and powerful ;) Maybe I need to ring up and see! If not, there doesn't seem to be anyone else that will do it! :(

the vast majority won't touch under 21s

Try phoning your ordinary insurance, admiral have done it for me a couple of times.
