My Vts came with black mask headlights fitted like these. The passenger side had broken brackets so have removed it. My plan is to remove the main beam and run an air feed from there. I would like to keep the black masks but was wondering if people knew how much work it would be to take a standard headlight to peices and fit the black mask as standard lights are in much greater supply. If this is pain in the arese job then i will just fit standard lights.
Hope you can help

Easy there is a guide on here. Normally people just paint the chrome parts.

Later on this month I will be making 10 off side mk2 cold air feed replacement headlight glass units from fibreglass. otherwise you will need to use a headlight blank with a duct in.

really easy to do headlights . just use a hair dryer and heat round the edge of glass between plastic backing and glass and prize apart. it does take some pressure to get glass from plastic but the more you heat the more the glue melts and is easier to remove . then just spray your reflector black and reheat glue and stick back together.
