Ive been debating with myself over this for a while now and still no answer lol.
I was thinking of buying a rear sunstrip and getting my nickname put in it in blue (as im doing other things to the car blue, its gotta match!) but I dunno if it is too 2000 and tacky?
I think it would look cool and stand out since cars dont really do it anymore, what da ya think? :)
Thanks guys!

Unless it's on the front and because the car's been completely stripped (i.e even down to the sun visors) for fast road/track use, then it's a definite no-no from me. Even then it can be a bit hit and miss.
It just looks chavvy IMO mate - especially if you're planning on putting your nickname or whatever on there lol.

It looks chavvy but it's ok for track use.
Too funny

The BEST one I ever saw, fitted on the rear window of a Saxo, said.
RIPSPEED in huge 4 inch high lettering.

I mean a plain strip for cars track across the top of the windscreen because the car's so low/been completely stripped and the sun gets in your eyes at 120mph+ on track - like so:

... looks better then some chav putting 'ME' and 'ME BITCH' or some shit across the screen, like this:

I know which one I find acceptable lol

Whats wrong with the plain black one on a daily? Lol. Or are they only acceptable for track :homme: cars.
Yeah that type is the worst but youve picked out a bad one lol

I'm getting one for my VTR, simply because, being 5 ft 6, in bucket seats, the sun visors do sweet feck all!

Nothing if it's a stripped out car with decent wheels, buckets, harnesses etc. It just looks chavvy with shitty writing over it. Just my 2p worth mate :)

This tbh. My mate's track car is absolutely on her arse, completely stripped and has a sunstrip because it needs it - I'm nudging 6ft and on the late track evenings during the summer, we'd be getting blinded without it - not fun when you're approaching Paddock Hill Bend at north of 120mph :p

Ahh yeah I can see that now - it has to be out of the wiper line IIRC? It looks feckin' schweet though IMO - I'll forgive it :D

Yes, out of the OEM wiper line.
So fitting smaller wipers to clear the strip, is a reason for failure. :homme:

I have a matt black sunstrip on mine and I like it :y:
I think it compliments the black roof and wheels well.

I've got a plain black one on the front, but that's because I'm a short arse and the sun visors do nothing!

Fair point, brings the whole look of the car down and just looks tacky, think sun visors where invented instead of a cheap crappy sticker

Agreed! They only look crap when full of max power etc stickers, or in the Ali-g style.
