Hello

My beloved Citroen Saxo 1.5 D went over the 200,000 mile mark last week. I'd love to run her for another year ( her predecessor, also a Saxo 1.5D did 240,000 before a valve started leaking air and I couldn't source a replacement) but she needs some welding to get through MOT and is due a cambelt change .

And so I'm temporarily a two Saxo household having just purchased another Saxo 1.5 D in Wicked Red.

She needs some TLC and either some bodywork on the two doors on the passenger side or, if I can find them, two matching doors from a scrappy.

I also have to face the misery of letting my beloved existing Saxo go for spares/repair or scrap.... after 7 happy years I shall be more than sad; that car got me through the Tewkesbury floods a few years back when other cars were conking out or floating all around me and kept me on the road on many an icy morning whilst other cars were skidding into ditches

Her name is Flagrente ( the white Saxo is Amorata, her predecessor was Cognito.. there is a system to my naming of cars.

Anyway. I'm Deb. I love Citroen Saxos and it's nice to have found this place

Aha, no edit button! The damaged doors are Drivers side, not passenger side and the predecessor to the current white saxo was an AX which I drove from new... accuracy is important.

The new red Saxo has 75,000 on the clock and had been stood for a while so needs work on brakes and exhaust and a couple of tyres; Nothing major and I'm hoping to have her on the road by the end of the month.
