Just wanted to know the best way to smooth a boot, Is it best to buy a pannel off ebay or not ? Also as for the boot popping kit. Thier is one on ebay for about 15 quid. Is it worth just getting one of them or is thier a better kit available ?

best way is to weld a metal plate on the boot as heared that them pannels crack after time plus there is not much difference in price once all the labour has been carried out, ebay boot popping kit is fine as i used one myself

As far as the popper goes mate I know a lot of people with smoothed boots de wiper as well, and you can link the solenoid from that mechanism to the boot catch seeing as it aitn used anymore.
And if your not getting it smmothed by a body shop, you clear everything off the boot such as number plate trim badges etc, then scrape the paitn around the area of the weld, cut a plate out of a steel cheet and weld it on. Then file it all down and filler it, smoothing it each time, and then paint it.

Weld a plate mate, the panels off ebay are wank and will cost about the same money to smooth it in.
