this is probally a stupid question......but can yo fit a sum to a headunit that doesn't have a pre out? thanks

Some amps take the normal speaker cable style input rather than RCA connections, mine does and i have a Blaupunkt GTO Mono. But you will obviously need an amp or an active sub enclosure to run a sub, you cant just trust the HU to run it

Quaility is shite though. Your best off spending £60 and getting a new headunit. That way your front speakers will have more power so will sound better aswell.

you can indeed, i got this little device:

you basically join the rear speakers cables to this and they become RCA outputs. It has dials so you can choose what power goes through it.
(please note i don't use this any more, but it was fine in the last car)

Follow my advise mate about getting a better headunit And read the 6x9 thread!!!
