Due to relocating my washer jets to the scuttle panel, I drilled a small hole in both scuttle panels to fit the jet.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CITROEN-SAXO-VTR-2001-1-6-98HP-BREAKING-WINDSCREEN-WIPER-SCUTTLE-TRIM-PANEL-ONLY-/390672275605?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Model%3ASaxo&hash=item5af5e1d895

this is the part in question (the lower panel on drivers side) which im wondering, can it be the cause of water leaking in the drivers side footwell?

The hole is drilled towards the top of it so is unnoticeable

this is my top scuttle panel

shouldnt do, as the holes in the bottom of the scuttle only drain the water into the same place anyway, that is unless the hole on the drivers side jet, is directly above the inlet for the blower.

check the scuttle drains either side, that the scuttle isn't just filling with water and then going the only other available way (the blower motor) over wise, the its the windscreen, aerial hole or sunroof!

Only if the drain is blocked in the lower scuttle panel the one where your heater motor is.

Other than that just make sure its clean and clear. it shouldn't leak if it is

ok cheers guys!

if the drain hole is blocked, how can I unblock it?

and where abouts is the hole for the blower motor located?

I don't think its from the windscreen because its a couple years old, the aerial has been smoothed off, and I ruled out the sunroof because its only on the drivers side. Does it sound like its definitely water through the blower motor then?

Theres a drain hole each side of the lower scuttle,to drain them get a coathanger & push down the holes.
