Engine mount problem?

So I bought a 2002 vts few weeks ago as a project,

One of the things the seller told me was it needed an engine mount which is a cheap easy fix I know.

Car vibrates but not extremely bad like I've known when my gti mount went.

So my question is how do I know which mount is fkked? Before I go ordering parts

Well you can check the gearbox mount easily.

So that leaves either the upper gearbox mount, or the engine mount.

Of course, you take it to bits! If it's not the engine mount, then it's the upper gearbox one.

You can also get someone to rev thr engine whilst you watch it. If one particular mount is knackered you should see extra motion from tgat location

Both times my Saxo has done this it was the driveshafts, get underneath and grab the shaft and give It a proper good tug back and fourth, it should have no movement and be solid, but u think if u can move it with ur hand, times that's by 50mph uhohhh
