Ok so I’ve been quoted £200 to get my 106 Rallye professionally waxoyl under sealed, that is with getting some welding done also to the driver’s side floor pan. What are people’s thoughts on the price? I personally don’t fancy doing it myself and would rather it get done right the first time.
The bloke that I got the quote from said that the rust which is coming through in the boot on the left hand side will stop, he said that it’s just surface rust and doesn’t need any welding, he said the waxoyl will protect the car from any rust well for at least 1year.
he said he had a good look under the car and the arhces and poked around any areas with rust, he said its solid.
Any help and advice would be great.

Treat the surface rust, and then paint the floor to protect the metal.
That's what I'd do anyway.

Waxoyl is good stuff.
At my garage we charge about £20 - £30 to waxoyl the underside of a car.
That is without removing anything, just spray on, takes about 30mins

I personally. Wire brush the surface rust.
Treat with Hammerite kurust
Paint with red oxide primer.
Use some Hammerite stone chip In black for a Shultz gun.
Then either over paint with Hammerite in the car colour (mines black)
Or just spray on some new engine oil.
The oil soaks into the stone chip and resists water.

Really I've been looking on the net and a few people have said they've been quoted more like so god knows I'm getting a second opinion hopefully this Friday like but like I say it does include some welding
Need more opinions from anyone please

Haha didn't fully understand thst message lol, are saying you'd be willing to help me?
And aye matey it cost me £250 in total the guy says he sent the driveshaft to get reconditioned instead which is more but he says he did that because he was struggling to find the part
But would be really appreciated if you are willing to help fella

Sorry auto correct struck. I'd say get the welding done, then underseal the car yourself. It's easy, as said wire brush the loose stuff, treat with krust then underseal it. I done mine a few weeks back.
