not a saxo but 106 gti.
got a supersprint manifold on my gti and i've noticed when im picking up speed mainly its higher gears i had a really bad grinding/rubbing noise. he said maybe because its an after market manifold the exhaust is sitting higher causing it to knock/rub.

I had someone i know look at it and thinks my pugsport is too close to the linkages so when the engine is moving their rubbing and grinding against eachother. he said maybe because its an after market manifold the exhaust is sitting higher causing it to knock/rub.

anyone know what i can do, or anyone that has a supersprint got a solution or even what else it could be if thats not my problem?

cheers, lewis

does it have the flange that's free to rotate or is it fixed? I think that is very close to the linkages.

one solution, fit a satchshift :D

notch the flange where the downpipe from the manifold joints the cat/decat. I had to do that to mine as when it got hot I couldnt get reverse

could be bent. mine supersprint mani sits no where near the linkages.

Either get a file & file out a recess in the flange,or maybe fit different exhaust rubbers?

my mates milltek does the same after he loaned his car out and his mate jumped the car, landed hard and bent the mani after decking it onto something.

i think its actually the pugsport thats hitting it, when its dry i'll try and get under and have a proper look and see what i can do :)
