Before i explode any airbags or nout does any of you know how to remove the steering wheel atc so i can get to my dials and the mini dash part in front of the dials so i can take them out, spray the mini dash, and also put new dials in.. etc..
ive had a quick look on the steering wheel theres 4 screws
1 set of 2 actaully behind the steering wheel itself, but i havent touched them yet not sure if airbag would explode on me...
another set of 2 screws just below the steering wheel which releases like atrap door so i cans ee the wires connected to the wheels and indicator stuff. guessing its not them.
there are another set of scres to release the mini dash trim in front of the dials but im guessing u have to remove the steering wheel first.
I'm not a technical person. couldn't find any tut's about. any help?
thanks!

to remove steering wheel disconect neg battery terminal, leave for about 30mins, the two torx screws on the back of steering wheel release the air bag, as you remove air bag there is a wire that you need to disconnect from the air bag
then you have a torx screw I think its 50 but will double check, undo this so far, then bang on the back of wheel towards you, this should free it, then undo the torx totally
you need to remove the cowling, from around steering colum, to get the clock suround out, you have two torx screws at the bottom, and two tiny ones at the top

ok assuming i follow this i see the 4 screws the 2 mini ones, got the 2 mini ones out. prob is cant get the ones at the bottom. theres the wires and stuff conect to the wheel (wire connectors). shud i have the battery disconnected if i took wire connectors out ... incase nethign blows, or is this ok?

only have to take neg lead off if your planning on taking steering wheel off, once the wheel is off, theres 3 torx screws that keeps the stalk controls on, take them out stalk controls come off, and theres nothing in your way to get at the two screws you need to get at
I'll be takin mine off tomorrow so I might take some pics of what you need to do

dont need to take the steering wheels off mate
just undo the 2 screws with hold the dial surround on and juggle it out of the hgap in the steering wheels
and the same with the dilas they just slip right out on there side
imo would rather do this than risk upsetting the airbag ecu (with u can easy do) even if u disconnet the battery etc if the wheel aint put back on right can lead to needing the airbag ecu restting ie not cheap!

heres a guide(for fitting dials but will tell you how to get the surround out) but all you need to do is take airbag off take wheel off then undo 4 bolts holding the coloum in place and should be able to drop it down enough to get to the 2 screws you want

yeah bad link... :s
thanks ymo3 - pics would be very useful!
Yeah i see your point Rob, but the dial's surround has 4 screws2 mini ones at the top and 2 larger ones at the bottom behind the wire connectors which they are behind the wheel.
