Sounds like faulty transponder aerial. the aerial is black plastic ring around the ignition lock. Ariel reads Chip in key and sends signal to immobilizer ecu. If you where working in that area might have disturbed some wires. Have a look

Thats my one, does the copper need to be touching the barrel? How do you take it apart?

Its been a long time since i messed about with one mate. That Transponder is a sealed unit. There should be a plug or wire that connects to it yeah ? Just check the plug has power going to it. If all seems good and give the connectors a clean with some electrical cleaner. If it sill playing up its gonna have to be a takento citroen, i think they charge about £60 for re code keys. But that was a long time ago might have changed now.

Sorry i mean the aerial is a sealed unit. So that goes over your ignition lock. We had to replace the aerial as it is the most common fault. But had to get Citroen to program it with the keys. So i would defo say that the aerial is faulty. As in your pic it looks damaged.

Its such a shame as it was working but I noticed I didnt connect the indicators, lights and wipers, I took the plastic shroud off then plugged them bk in and thats when it happend, I think it was something I done, but dont know what.

I would say buy a new Aerial. But then again i could be wrong. But if you buy a new aerial it has to be programed by citroen for it to recognize the keys. Not been funny or nothing but have you checked fuses ?

Going to have to do the old fashioned way. Pull em all out and check. Also use multimeter continuity setting and check each fuse sometimes they look ok but not.

It's a sealed unit, the coil induces current in the transponder which sends a radio signal in return. That signal is picked up via an antenna, through a circuit that sends an OK signal to the ECU which then allows to start the engine. When it looks like yours, it's fucked I'm afraid.
Your rear brake lights constantly on may indicate a faulty switch (black box hidden under the dash, drivers side), easy fix. I don't think it would be the f7 fuse as they would just not light up.
