Leo

how did u lads pay> paypal?

Yep i paid by paypal, the item cost me £20, and at the moment, i have to live off £20 a week, so to me its alot.

Lauraj85
1st September 2006, 18:56
go through paypal disputes inform them of the problem, if the money is still in his account you can eventually get it back, my other half had the same problem, but paypal investigated & got all his money back!

Yates
1st September 2006, 19:02
see if you can find a tracking number if you can, if they are not a premium member maybe mention the name in there and see if anyone else has had problems with that seller

are they an established member? or new?

Leo
1st September 2006, 19:04
You can probley get the money back through paypal just contact them and tell them the item aint turned up and the guy wont have any tracking info.

stiffler69
1st September 2006, 19:09
part of the money went through paypal and the rest via postal order i will put his name up as soon as i have made sure it hasnt and isnt gonna arrive ill have to give him a few more days to get himself together if not i post the name

Dan

4th September 2006, 00:03
perhaps a idea wud be to require sellers to leave thier details (registered address, landline etc) to moderators/ admins so that if such a issue happens the seller can b got in contact with plus gives the buyer more confedence and trust.
this way it just gives a means of people bein contacted etc, such as paypal do!

but just my 2 pennies

b0t13
4th September 2006, 00:04
they could fake it, unless u can get the information off paypal..

Hi everyone still not arrived cant beleive someone stuck his name up, never mind apparantly the lad is in dubai spoke to his girlfriend on here yesterday and she recons he had sent them out and should be here today or tomorrow but seems like im getting the run around again as then i seen him post yesterday in reply to having some bits in the wanted section ill give him till tomorrow not sure what to do from there really

Gav
4th September 2006, 13:09

DarylVTR

if u sent him a postal order surely u have his address??

Very Very good point!!!! This young lady is iteligent haha

kick his assss

like i said you could have got them new for £109, and we told u this at the time, i know its abit irrelivant but you choose to ignor me, rosey and a few other members who told you not to ;) :drink:

Problem is when people get the money, they tend not to care once the money is in their pocket so are in no hurry to send goods.

Ahhh well you live and learn.

stiffler69
4th September 2006, 13:59
lol yeah have his address wich is a good thing just wondering what to do its a long way is portsmouth so maybe a phone call to their local police station maybe in order as i have plenty of evidence that a sale took place even have emails confirming he had received the cash and receipts from paypal and the postal order so just give the fella till in the morning and ill get onto him. Yeah i now realise you can get them cheaper im a bit of a hasty buyer the missus hates it i do it all the time lol

DarylVTR
4th September 2006, 14:04
people like you make ebay a good place to sell stuff overpriced which is great though haha.... its cool mate we all do it.

I dont think going to Southampton Police station is going to do much you have no come back even with receipts, there was no legal contract. All you can do it report him to paypal. Like i said i talk to him on msn and he seems decent enough, hopefully there is a reasonable explanation, but it has been ages sinse they were sold, id be pissed off aswell.

sassysax
4th September 2006, 14:14

Stiffler... youve just said the seller is in Dubai, so maybe give him a chance?

The members jumping the gun in this thread promoting violence and the like are out of order. With chat like that do you really expect the person to respond???

And for the record... it took you over 2 weeks to respond to my contact attempts when your TRAX ticket payment got refused. Did you see me hounding you over the forums?

Two sides to every story usually...

Talon
4th September 2006, 16:20
simos right plus when you phoned the girlfriend said he was in dubai did he post them before he left? has he forgotten? giving him a couple of extra days wont do much seeing as hes not even in the country! also mate just be aware the post office just brought in new regulations its easy to misinterperet them now packages are meausred on size and weight he may have got it wrong and they will be sent back to his girlfriend, there are many options for not receiving them, my advice is to be patient you bought the item from a private seller so youve never got a guarantee of same day posting. just be patient and wait it out is the best option IMO.

stiffler69
4th September 2006, 16:50

I havent once promoted violence have you even read this thread i refused to name the guy and still have not named him its other users who have worked out who it was and i havent responded in a violent way once, infact i have been more than patient the fact that i have been told they are in the post 3 different times when infact they havent been is what is getting me extremely cautious of the possibility of not receiveing this item i have also stated that i am gonna give it a few more days for them to arrive before i take any action wich i never mentioned violence once.

also re trax tickets i got 1 email from scott wich i responded too explaining the problem i had with my paypal then didnt hear anything else till i got the message from yourself in wich i then told you i had responded to the email didnt receive anything else other than the message from scott and the pm from yourself in wich i replied to both

stiffler69

this may help here are the orignal emails

1st email
hi mate i am not at home till monday so i will let u know then and if it is there i will send out the lights on tuesday if that is ok.- Received on the 18th of august

2nd
yes mate sending lights tomorrow- Received on the 21st of august

3rd email
hi mate i sent them on friday sorry for the delay i have had a busy week.-Received on 26th of august so apparantly they were definately sent on the 25th 1 week later nothing

so thats just an example of been patient on my behalf

Simo
4th September 2006, 18:47
I havent once promoted violence have you even read this thread

Yes, I have read this thread... did you read my reply?

I said 'the members' with regard to promoting violence, I did not name you. Where a comment was directed at you I specifically stated your name... well... ish. I used stiffler, but Im sure you knew who I was referring to ;)

stiffler69
4th September 2006, 19:46
yeah i did realise this after just at first read it looked like it had been directed at me but you must now see that he has lied to me about postage 3 times hence my concerns

Gav

stiffler69

the next step is to wait a few more days as thay were posted friday the 1st by him mum this is gem by the way and were sent 2nd class so will take up to 5 days he hasnt run away with ur money or shafted u he is visting his dad in dubi at the mo he also said it took u a few weeks for u to pay it all so calm urself and stop making out that he is scamming u

stiffler69
5th September 2006, 18:14
yes but this was explained i was not able to get in contact with yourselfs to send the rest of the payment looking forward to receiveing the item and im sorry if i jumped the gun a bit but 3 weeks is a bit long to have someone waiting also if i personally knew they were late as it was i would of sent them first class it was the lack of contact wich made me concerned and the 3 different postage dates i was givin as soon as they are received i will state on the thread that the item has arrived

rosey
5th September 2006, 18:29
at least they have made contact!!!

s60tsy
5th September 2006, 20:07
shut up 'dave_and_gems_saxo' why should he not make out that he has been shafted when you have obviously taken the piss? All it would have taken was an honest email - how hard would that have been. You obviously can't be trusted not to be scammers after the lies you have told so i think you should be apologising and not gobbing off - sarah

Simo
6th September 2006, 07:57
Why do people automatically think the worst... and why does almost everyone feel the need to jump on the band wagon and hound the seller?

Does nobody in life have any patience anymore? Have you ever promised to do something, but something else has cropped up which has meant there is absolutely no way you could do what you originally promised to do?

Qucifer666
6th September 2006, 08:03
in all fairness, i think stiffler69 has shown the most patcience.

Simo
6th September 2006, 08:07
Well, if they were posted on the 1st, 2nd class they should arrive today or tomorrow.

In either case, posting publically like this is not the best form of action and creates ill feeling amongst the community.

If there is a genuine problem with something or someone then I will try to help to resolve the matter, but I dont appreciate masses of people bringing negative feelings to this forum.

Mattvtr
6th September 2006, 08:57
i think when people are sending items on here they should have to take a photo of the receipt of postage and pop the pics on here showing the post code of the recipient, just a suggestion, its what im gonna do once ive sent my items, dont cost nothing extra for the receipt

Iv had a few problems like this before. One from this site too.

I sent a £300 headunit to a guy with record del. He never got back to me so i called him to make sure everything was ok been the nice guy i am ;)

He said tht it wouldnt load cds. Was in perfect condition when i sent it. He said it may of been damaged in the post. I told him to clame via royal mail and whatever price he gets back he can keep. He bought it for 100 so if he made a profit i wasnt bothered. I told him to call me back on the monday after he had spoken to royal mail.

That was about 5 weeks ago and still had no call. I smell somthing dodgy.
