Remove the door card. Start by removing the two screws, one is situated in the handle and the other underneath the wing mirror adjusters. Once you've done that start to pull the card away from the door, make sure you get your fingers under the speaker side of the card and gently pull it from the car, running your fingers/hands around the entire circumference of the card.
Once you've done that, it speaks for its self. Just make sure you don't brake any clips.
If I'm wrong and theres a better way, I do apologise. This is the way I do it anyway. :Y:
[EDIT] A little tip, to put it back on you will need to put the windows down. :P

you should be able to just drill out the old speakers and screw these in as long as the speakers arent too deep otherwise they wont fit (a problem i have with some alpine components).
as for the wiring, if you are powering them through the head unit then its just a case of unplug the old ones and wire in the new ones with the existing wires, just positive and negative
job done!

you can do it without taking off the door card. just pop of the speaker cover

You can do it without removing the door card, it depends wether or not your putting tweeters and crossovers in or not.
Drill the little rivets out whichever way. Then re-attach the wiring to the new speakers, i suggest you solder it, for the best connection, then insulate it to prevent interferrance or short-outs. Replace the rivets with screws of a similar size, just make sure its nice and snugly secure.
Thats the most simple, short winded way of doing it. I think we need a guide writing for this...

make sure you keep the grey plasticy sound deadening stuff for when you put your new speakers in. it will help prevent unwanted rattles / vibrations

Or, go one better, and remove the doorcards and dynamat the panel. It's brilliant stuff. About £15 worth to do both doors.
