I've read the guide on the website, but a few more questions:
1.What do you do about the towing eye? Does it have to be cut off?
2.Is adhesive sufficient? I don't wanna use rivets cos the skins already painted.

Yeah.. dont rivet it..
Towing eye "just" sits above the bumper shelf.. so you dont have to cut it of.. but you wont be able to use it...

Cheers for the advice guys, much appreciated.
Gonna attempt to fit the rear skin Saturday morning (if weather is ok), and depending on how well that goes, try the front skin the following weekend. Should hopefully save myself a few quid in bodyshop charges if all goes well.

Where did you get the tigerseal from? I've tried all my car accessory and local DIY stores and none of them have got it.
Would i be able to use something like No Nails?

Something tacky and semi rigid.... It needs to have a bit of flex in it.
Goto a place that sells body panels and ask them.... The stuff I used was called Q-flex, but most people seem to get tiger-seal.

I used No Nails to partially bond back the tailgate spoiler on my old XR2i after the fixings rusted away, and it seemed to work fine. Although, i sold it shortly after that so don't know about long term success. It dried semi-rigid, you could feel the bond 'give' a little by applying pressure with your finger.
I just don't wanna mess it up cos the parts were pretty expensive.

dont use no more nails as its not for use in damp conditions - u NEED a windscreen bonder ideally
i got some ''win bond'' of the mobile windscreen dude and then got a tube of tigerseal from local diy store..

Yo Simo
Where did you get the clamps you used in your guide?

G-clamps.... I got them from my shed..
No doubt they are widely available from places like B&Q, etc....

Hey Simo,
Judging from your picture on the fitting guide, you've got the skin flush with the plastic arch extension close to the rear light cluster. Is this just the way yours worked out, or did you do something specifically to get it looking so neat.
At this point, my skin sticks out more than i would ideally like. I saw someit about this on an SSC thread a while ago, where some lad had Dawson's fit his skins and he wasn't happy at how far out they stuck in this region.
Any ideas? I'm thinking of packing out the arch extension slightly so that they meet up with the skin better.
Cheers.

You have to shave a fair bit of the original bumper away at the edges, where it meets the skin.. there should be some pics of this in the guides gallery....
Also, I retained the standard metal u clip, which holds the bumper and arch extension close to each other..
Is this the bit you mean?

In PHOTO1315 it looks like the skin is almost flush with the arch extension - looks well good! If i was to take the same photo of mine, the skin sticks out a fair bit more then yours does.
In PHOTO1331 i've probably cut away a bit more than you, but my skin didn't fit all that well above the rear bumper bracket area - it needed to go in a bit further to ensure a flush fit with the arch extension, but wouldn't.
I'm suggesting cutting off/modifying the tab that holds the rear of the arch entension in place (i.e. where the bolt goes through and into the bumper bracket) and packing the extension out slightly to give the illusion of a flush fit with the skin. (Bear with me, i'm trying to describe as well as possible).
When everythings fitted, i'll try and post some pics to explain myself better.
Cheers
