I just spent like £100 of car cleaning stuff from Polished-Bliss last week, mainly consisted of:
Shampoo
Abrasive Polish
Glaze
Paint Sealent (protection)
Various Application Pads

Before that had wheel cleaner, tyre cleaner and clay bar

A good thing to do is email them, they offer great advise on the products you may need and within your price range.

If you're looking for a good shine, the Blackfire range from PolishedBliss is unbeatable. It is quite expensive, but it's worth it.
