o dear im in trouble.......

last night,well earlyier hours of this morning i was playing taxi because im skint this weekend,and i got pulled over by the police in manchester city centre for mmmm wel "apperently" going round a corner to qiuckly,so fair do's they pull me over ask fro my docs,inusurance MOT etc ,no problem got it all on me!;) copper checks my tax disc-no problem its been taxd :) got my licence on me and i show him my insurance certificate he realises something, one of the letters on my reg is wrong on the certifiate,instead of an M its a W!!!! :rage: the copper realised its a genuine msitake so hes gave me a producer and iv got till thursday to sort it out,now all iv gota do is explain this to qinn direct to give me a new insurance cert. to show the correct reg and to say i was insured last night,mmmmmmm do you thing il be able to do it??? its a guinune mistake!!!! iv bin pulled over before and my docs have been checked by oldham police AND i taxd my car a last month!arnt the post office supose to check my insurance cert????

ring them up 2moro and then by time its send out could be thursday or so, you should have 7 days to get the producer on

Yeah they can do that, shouldn't be any problem. Just make sure they give a certificate that shows when the insurance started because my mum had a problem with her insurance after a car accident. The certificate they sent had the start date as the day after the accident happened (the day she phoned them) so the police nearly did her for not having insurance :shock: .

yeh wel thats what the copper said make sure it says your insured last night with the correct reg,because i can get done for no insurance :( what insurance was your mum with qinn?

same happened with my sisters megane - they just faxed the police a cover note confirming it was an error then sent out the certificate

when you phone up just say you where pulled over and thet they noticed your reg on your insurance is wrong and can they change it and get the documents out to you as soon as posible as you have a producer. if they say that you have to pay a charge just say it was there fault as the customer is always right.

just an update on this thread for anyone interested....
Quinn direct sorted me with a cover note and posted it Special delivery style free of charge-what a nice set of guys :) cheers quinn direct!
