Car alarm

I've got a Ariane alarm in my saxo and me and my friend have been trying to fit some new HID lights to my car. When reconnecting the battery my car alarm goes off. Any ideas why ?

probably nothing to do with the HID's tbh. Just the fact of disconnecting the battery has probably caused it. Any instructions available for your alarm?

We found out that if we kept disconnecting and reconnecting the battery it would some how work. I guess problem solved... Very strange

your alarm thought your car was getting nicked, and sounds like it doesn't have backup batteries so will go off when you plug the battery back in.
