Im trying to fit my clutch to my pug1off flywheel but im having some issues..

Whenever I try to tighten the pressure plate bolts down, they start to get a little tight then just slip. Do i need different bolts to fit my standard pressure plate? Or am I just being thick and missing something? Iv never changed a clutch before!

Thanks

if its a TTV flywheel I believe they use M8 not M7, hopefully you haven't damaged the threads.

probably need to take out the pressure plate holes a little too.

Do TTV make them for Pug1off? The bolts fit fine without the pressure plate there, they screw all the way down and dont feel slack.

What flywheel is it? A billet or lightened standard?

you need M8 bolts, they should have come with the flywheel.

go to a pug or citroen dealer and get some 6923 G6, they're 20mm long M8 bolts for an XUD clutch and cost 90p each.

or if you can get away with 16mm long bolts you can use 6912 J3 which is 60p each, from a DW10 clutch.

Bought it second hand, so didn't know about the bolts. Still you think the seller would have included them seeing as he probably wouldnt need them again!

But cheers for the help, got some 8x20 cap screws from work so ill just run a tap down and hopefully everything will be alright!

Thanks again

no probs, as you probably have guessed you'll also need to buzz an 8mm bit through the pressure plate holes too.

Was going to say they come with bolts. It is a TTV as welshpug said.
