How can you tell if a MA gearbox has and LSD in it when it's out of the car?

Opening it up is obviously your best bet, but if I remember rightly, if you look through one of the driveshaft holes and you see daylight at the other side, you have a standard diff. If the view is obstructed by anything, it's possibly an LSD.

other way round typically, standard diff has a cross pin.
