Howdy.

I've got some 266 206 GTi calipers winging their way to me, and I need to start looking at brakes. Usage will be occasional road use, and track use.

I've driven MuZiZZle's, which I believe is running DS2500 pads and Max-Tech drilled discs I think? It stops well, AP 5.1 fluid and braided lines. The braking is progressive and nice.

I'm tempted to simply get a set of DS2500's, but what are Carbon Lorraine Pads like? They seem to get shouted about a bit? Anyone running them?

What about discs, I was thinking probably a set of Brembo Max or something like that? Any recommendations?

I know it's not much input but fairly sure i have a set of DS2500s in the garage that you could have cheap. They have been used though.

Yeah they get good reviews not used them myself, might be a step up from the road biased DS2500s depending on compound though - RC5 something is it?
Wouldnt bother with brembo max either, just normal brembo high carbon discs with a fancy pattern cut into it which doesnt do much imo but just costs more.

Im running DS2500 and Mintex discs, with AP 5.1 fluid. It stops well but the pads kick out a bit of dust, and they dont take much heat in them to get working correctly.

The braking is progressive and I repeatedly locked up all four wheels gunning it into the hairpin at Cadwell, I owe him many moneys for his now triangular tyres

Sorted for you sweet cheeks
