hooking stuff straight to the battery help

I am planning on hooking a sunroof motor straight up to my battery, it draws 25amps and im going to run an inline fuse of 25amps. Will this fry the fuse and motor instantly?

A fuse should blow when the current is abnormally high. If your device pulls 25 amps on maximum load, then a fuse designed to blow at 25 amps isn't going to be suitable. Fit a 30 amp fuse to give a buffer (sticky motor etc) but make sure the wiring is safe by fitting a fuse as low as possible to your needs (IE, don't just whack a 80 amp fuse in).

19.5 amps at stall (fully closed/open).

That's just the first I found. Obviously some will be less and some will be more.

Don't forget, the fuse is there to protect the wiring. What size wire/cable are you going to use to connect the motor up with? ;);)
