I've got this little knocking sound when I hit a pothole, or turn sharply left (mainly) and just wondering what this could possibly be? The sound is coming from the front passengers wheel. I've heard off a friend that it could be the ball joints or maybe the bushes? As usual any help is much appreciated :y:

Top mount bearing is my bet as it happens when you turn sharply. However it can be a few things. You need to get it jacked up and get a pry bar around your suspension components.

Thanks for the feedback mate, I'll try booking it into my friends garage soon to get it checked over! Is there a worst case scenario or nothing too major you would've thought?

Nothing too bad, everything's pretty cheap it's just finding the culprit. I'd say labour will be the worst part depending if the strut has to come off stripped and built back up.

Eurgh I'm beginning to hate the word labour so much..

I have a similar sounding knock on my saxo at the moment, I've investigated it and it's the ball joint on my wishbone where it attaches to the strut.
Funds were right or it would have had a new wishbone fitted. I took the entire wishbone off and there's a lot of play in said area slight bumps in the road and there's a knock from the passenger side. Hope this helps you!

Sounds like what I'm finding with mine! When I eventually do book it in I'll make sure to mention the above, thanks mate!
