Help needed please.
The Saxo in the title is missing when started from cold. It is difficult to drive. Once warmed up it drives perfectly.
Gave it a service oil, spark plugs and filters, but still the same.
Cheers,
Malcolm.

It's missing when cold. Probably difficult was wrong word to describe it. Driving it when cold it jerks/hesitates quite a bit. When it is warmed up after a couple of minutes it is Ok. I need to get my laptop back with Lexia on it and see if I can read any real time data after it's started cold.
Any suggestions of what I should be looking for?
Malcolm.

Could be the coil pack
Cheers. I think a m8 has a spare one, I'll swap and see if it makes any difference.
Is the coil pack likely to be affected by temperature of the engine? It only misses when its cold, once warmed up it runs perfectly.

Not sure to be honest, what grade oil do you use? Just try the other coil pack and tick something off the maybe list

In my case when was fault of coil, in cold temp was very hard accelerate, but then warm much more easier accelerate. But then i put foot down on accelerate car almost stalled always. (like one cilinder dont work correctly).
So i think coil pack.

A faulty coil pack can fail when the engine is hot or cold, from my experience they've always failed when hot though.:y:Try a new coolant temperature sensor.:drink:
