when coming to a stop, 2 mph max, there is a small crunch sound coming from the front brakes - sounds like passenger side - and a bit of vibration through the pedal.

I was thinking it was the pads, so changed them and theres no change.

Its not the disks, I've checked they're not warped, and theres no grooves in them that shouldn't be there.

is there anything else that could cause it? and all the calliper bolts are tight!

I'm running hi spec 4 pots if that makes any difference.

thanks for the help

Warped discs will cause vibration under braking. My bad didn`t read the full post mate.

Faulty abs can cause a vibrating / pulsing pedal my xsara used to do it it wasn't the same kind of pedal pulse as when you stomp on the brake pedal and the abs feeling comes, it was like tiny vibration when braking lightly, also a wheel bearing on its way out can cause a simulate more strong feel, also a unbalanced wheel, I personally don't believe in warped discs

ilil disconnecting the abs and see what happens.
unbalanced wheel would make sense, there is a bit of fight through the steering wheel, but that could be because the rear axle is shot.
Much appreciated.

Not sure if the saxos are same as the 206s, but i tried that on my 206 and with the abs pump unplugged it wouldn't start up lol must be some safety device
