Checking drive shaft profile with out removal?

Anyone know how to check drive shaft profile before removing it so I can order it and fit it when it comes with out having to mess about doing it twice?

? if you search theres a guide to find out if you have a tapered or flat shaft.

Tapered unless someone's shanked the struts which is doubtful.
